Fees and Billing
Holistic Paediatrics is a private billing medical practice and we do not bulk bill Medicare for services as a standard practice. The clinicians at the practice set their own fees for consultations and payment is required at the time of the consultation. Certain services may be eligible for a Medicare rebate, where the terms stipulated by Medicare are met. Online Claiming through Medicare is available for eligible services. Private Health insurance does not provide rebates for medical consultations for Medicare card holders.
A Medicare rebate may not be available for some services where a charge is applied. A pre-payment may be requested for some of these which may include:
- Requests for additional letters outside of an appointment.
- Requests for referrals outside of an appointment.
- Requests for the completion of forms.
- Requests for additional in-depth reports.
- Medico-legal reviews or reports.
- Fees for failure to attend an appointment.
- Prescription requests if patient is not in attendance
- Telephone/ Telehealth consultations
